The food in Torrevieja is varied with an excellent choice of International cuisines including Italian, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Scandinavian, Serbian, Croatian, Mexican, etc. in a number of specialised restaurants.
The typical Torrevieja Speciality is the "Caldero", which consists of different fish types, rice and the juice of the fish, this you can eat almost anywhere in town.
Other typical sea flavour dishes are rice with fresh anchovy, cooked codfish, red bream, mackerel, ray and other fish, which are prepared in there are own special way in various restaurants.

Stefans team of chef's are mostly trained by himself. Try the House Red - pretty good stuff. The Food is delicious and all homemade. They have Ostrich and Venison on the Menu. They have a menu del dia to give it a try during the day which I get emailed to me every week.

This is the best Restuarant that we have visited in our three years in Torrevieja. Wonderful friendly and attentive staff. Three piece Hungarian band that will play requests, Violin, Double Bass and Harpsicord. Food is excellent, huge portions, Wine even better, the owner is a wine buff, got some good tips on wines to buy for an investment, the prices reflect the standard of the Restuarant/food/wine not the cheapest place in town but certainly the best. They do a superb Menu Del Dia.rnrnTo get there, take the Crevillente road, you will come to aroundabout signposted for Montesinos/Guardamar. Take the right turn towards Guardamar, then take 2nd left, restaurant is on the right hand side.

I cannot believe that this restaurant has not already had several reviews. Upon arriving you are greeted with a warm welcome in a very relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I had starters and main meal dishes which were superb. A very good choice of wines were on offer to accompany the meal and i would recommend the Hennesy Brandy to finish off with. Although the menu was not as one would find back in England help was very readily at hand to explain all and to offer a little advise on trying something different. The King Prawn chilli and garlic starter was something i had never tried before but will do so again. Criticism although minor would be that the keema naan was rather thin and lacking in filling and that maybe Elton John was not the best backing music for an Indian restaurant. Prices were reasonable but not cheap. All in all I would give this place a 7 out of 10 rating and would say that it is well worth a visit.
